Creative Showcase
CRATE and its partners launch a 20-week enterprise development programme for 16 participants. The programme culminates in a showcase exhibition event to celebrate the launch of an individual’s career in the creative industries.
Different creative disciplines enrich the programme, with the showcase exhibition supporting collaboration, not competition.
Supporting creatives
During uncertain times many young creatives have been unable to showcase their projects due to Covid-19 restrictions. First steps into the world of work have been disrupted and creative careers have stalled. This programme gives power back to young people by equipping them with the skills and resilience needed to adapt to a changing world.
The programme
There are two key components to the Creative Showcase programme. Enterprise training and mentoring workshops develop business knowledge, skills and confidence. The Showcase itself provides valuable event planning experience and an opportunity to exhibit (and sell) work to the public.
Funding and publicity
There are no participant fees. The programme is funded by local businesses and supported by Waltham Forest council. Participants' work will feature on the BOOST:ED website to leverage further sales and raise the profile of the programme for the benefit of past and future participants.
Who's it for?
Participants should be aged 16-24 and have a connection to Waltham Forest as a resident or through their school or college.
